KESHAV SURI FOUNDATION

Intolerance, rejection, and hate have always loomed large in the lives of the marginalized. Be it the LGBTQIA+ community, People with Disabilities, or people belonging to various marginal intersections, these communities have always struggled to be considered a part of mainstream society. When it comes to the LGBTQIA+ community, ‘Rights’ has always been a very arbitrary word, with them being granted or revoked as per the fancies of the people in power. Fighting for awareness, recognition, tolerance, and holistic acceptance, the Queer community of India has faced a tough time due to the stigma and prejudice attached to the community as a whole.

KSF is not just an NGO but a hope to embrace, empower, and mainstream the deeply marginalized communities including, but not limited to, the LGBTQIA+. It is a step forward in bringing much-needed change for the betterment of the community and society in its entirety.

Launched on 13th October 2018, just a month after the decriminalization of Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, KSF has worked tirelessly to bring the marginalized communities to the forefront of Indian society and to enable them to live a life of dignity and respect, the same which is afforded to the mainstream communities.
