Keshav Suri Foundation and The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group supported Pride De Goa organised on November 9, 2019.
KSF queered the pitch with the femme and fabulous drag queen Tete Bang and her partner Lawrence Lewis. Naina Dasan from the team moderated the panel and discussed with the couple on their journey of getting better together.
KSF organised ‘This is Able’ a sensitisation session at The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group with DJ Aamish, who is a resident DJ at Kitty Su. DJ Aamish shared his journey with the students and motivated them to never give up.
Maya the Drag Queen participated in Canadian International School’s 2nd Annual Symposium for Inclusivity. The students participated in an exclusive interactive session with Maya where she talked about the LGBTQIA+ community and the efforts made by KSF to embrace, empower and mainstream the LGBTQ+ community.
KSF in collaboration with Miss Woomaniya organised The Mind Matters; a platform which steered the dialogue of mental health and coming out. Through this event, the objective was to try and eradicate the stigma that is associated with conversations around mental health.
KSF celebrated its 1 year anniversary, by organising Drag Queen Story Hour at Tagore International School, Vasant Kunj. Hiten Noonwal, in drag read the story of Elphie and The Peacock to the students of the school imparting message of inclusivity and diversity.
KSF organised a skilling session –Personality Plus at Kitty Su New Delhi, developed specifically for trans* persons to better prepare them for job interview, CV creation and over all presentation skills.
The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group along with Keshav Suri Foundation supported Raipur Pride organized on September 30, 2019. Talking about firsts, Raipur made a world record of the longest pride flag which was about 2.5 km long.
